 | 1939 New York World's Fair Homer Laughlin Plate - the Artist This turqoise 8" plate was produced at the 1939 New York World's Fair in the exhibit that was set up by six pottery companies - among them the Homer Laughlin Company. The exhibit had an actual working kiln and a variety of items were produced and sold at the exhibit. This plate is marked in ink on the back: "The American Potter, 1940, World's Fair Exhibit, Joint Exhbit of Capital and Labor." It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. | |
