This napkin holder is one of the items from the line put out by Enesco during the 1960's. This line is called Mother in the Kitchen or Prayer Ladies by collectors and is fast becoming collectible. This napkin holder is about 6" high and shows a lady with apron in prayer. The Dinner Prayer is printed on the apron. It has the Enesco label on the bottom. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

The busy little Betsy Ross figure is sitting in her chair sewing the flag. On her left side is a bright red pin cushion and on her right is a tape measure that pulls out. She has the red and silver Enesco sticker on the bottom. There is some fading on the flag as can be seen in the picture but other than that she is in excellent condition. I have reduced her price to reflect that flaw.

This auction is for the beautiful 2000 Collector Club Spring Meadow Basket, liner and protector. It measures 16-1/2" long by 10-3/4" wide at the rim and is 4" high. The basket is in excellent condition with no fading or flaws in the weave as is the protector.

This bisque nodder is one of the nodders made by a German company during the 1930's. These nodders represented the popular comic strip and cartoon/comic characters of that time. This nodder is of an unidentified little boy in a white suit, vest and jaunty hat. It is marked Germany on the back. It is a 3-1/4" high. The facial features on this gem are just wonderful. He is in excellent shape and the paint is still in pretty good shape.

The two bottles stand about 5-1/2" tall and sport little rose handles on their fronts. One is marked with a "V" for vinegar while the other is marked "O" for oil They are a lovely example of the type of Japanese-made kitchenware from the 40s and 50s that is becoming so collectible today. This pattern is Rooster and Roses. Neither bottle is marked.. They are in excellent condition with no cracks or stains but do have several very small glaze nicks that are not noticeable unless looked at closely. I have reduced the price to reflect these minor flaws.

This pattern is Rooster and Roses. This item is not marked.. It is in excellent condition with only a few very small glaze nicks that are not noticeable unless looked at very closely. This jam and jelly dish consists of two cojoined containers, each with a lid and spoon. It is 8" wide, including the handles and is a lovely example of the type of Japanese-made kitchenware from the 40s and 50s that is becoming so collectible today. This pattern is Rooster and Roses. There is no logo on the bottom.. All the pieces are in excellent condition with the exception of a very small glaze chip (pinpoint size) on the underside of one of the handles that is not noticeable unless the item is turned completely upside down. I have reduced the price on the item to reflect that very minor flaw.

This pink fringed pillow cover or scarf features nine scenes from the 1933 World's Fair in Chicago. It measures 15" square not including the fringe border. It is in excellent condition with no stains or tears and the colors are still bright and vivid. A nice addition to a Chicago 33 collection!

Chicago Worlds Fair Thermometer Shaped Like Key
This bronze-like thermometer from the Century of Progress World's Fair of 1933 is 8" long and in the shape of a key. What makes this piece interesting are the various buildings that are embossed on both sides. The top of the thermometer sports an embossed representation of the Travel & Transport Bulding on one side and the Federal Building on the otherside. The Hall of Science is represented on the bottom. A very elaborate and ornate piece to add to your Century of Progress collection. It is in excellent condition with no rust. However, the thermometer does not record the correct temperature.

This 32-page 5" x 8" booklet was distributed by the Firestone Tire & Rubber Co. at the World's Fair of 1933. In addition to telling the story of their company, there are lots of pictures of their products and factories. The colorful cover shows a birds-eye view of their exhibition building. The book is in excellent condition - completely intact with no tears or missing pages with only a small amount of wear on the cover.

This unique black amethyst vase is a commemorative item from the Chicago World's Fair of 1933 and 1934 Century of Progress). It has "Worlds Fair 1934 etched in one side. This type of black glassware appears black until held up to a light when it shines a purple or amethyst color. Condition: Excellent.

1939 New York World's Fair Homer Laughlin Plate - Potter
This turqoise 8" plate was produced at the 1939 New York World's Fair in the exhibit that was set up by six pottery companies - among them the Homer Laughlin Company. The exhibit had an actual working kiln and a variety of items were produced and sold at the exhibit. This plate is marked in ink on the back: "The American Potter, 1940, World's Fair Exhibit, Joint Exhbit of Capital and Labor." It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

Austrian Carlsbad Victoria Signed Plate - Louis XIV

This 8-3/4" plate is a portrait plate of Louis XIV made by the Austrian porcelain company Victoria Carlsbad. It is signed by De Mond. I would guess the age of the plate from early 1900s. The embossed rim is edged is gold. It is in excellent condition with the exception of the tiniest nick on one spot in the rim. It is so small that it can't be seen and only felt. The gold is still nice and fresh. The underglaze transfer has only a few small spots of wear.

British Royalty Plate - Old Queen Alexandria

This unmarked 8-1/2" plate is a portrait plate of Queen Alexandria of Great Britain - probably from the early 1900s. She was the wife of King Edward VII who assumed the throne of England in 1901. The plate features a reticulated border with a blue rim. The rim is edged is gold. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or stains and the gold is still nice and fresh. The underglaze transfer has only a few small spots of wear.

1920's Celluloid Dresser Set - 6 Pieces
This dresser set consists of six pieces all having a pink marbelized color decorated with a floral garland consisting of painted black flowers and various colors of rhinestones. The pieces in the set are: 10" oval tray, 4-1/4" round powder jar, 5" rectangular box, shoehorn, nail file and cuticle pusher. The boxes have lids and clear bases. The set is in excellent condition - no stains and only one piece of rhinestone is missing on the shoehorn. The only other flaw in the entire set is a tiny chip on the edge of the rectangular box.

This Kriess & Company Santa is 7-1/2" tall and is really a candleholder. The candle would go in Santa's uplifted hand. He has rhinestone eyes and rhinestones on his belt. What a dapper guy! He is stamped Kriess & Company. This company imported many such items from Japan in the 1950's and they are beginning to catch the eye of collectors. Santa is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs and there are only a few tiny spots where the paint is worn.
