This 6" glass holds 16 ounces and is the type of thick glass used by food packagers in the late 1940s and early 1950s. It is from a Disney set of four that features two Disney characters per glass. There is no indication on the glass of the maker but it does feature Pluto on one side and Goofy on the other. It is numbered D2292 in Tomart's Price Guide to Character and Promotional Glasses (1993). The glass is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or fading of design - great condition for a glass that is over 50 years old.

This glass is from one of the largest U.S. sets of Disney glasses ever issued. The set featured characters from the Walt Disney Pinocchio movie and was a 12-week dairy promotion with a new glass being issued every week. Each glass is in one color and has a unique color for each character. The glass I have is about 4-3/4" tall and shows The Coachman from Pinocchio in orange along with a short verse on the reverse side. It is numbered D2201 in Tomart's Price Guide to Character and Promotional Glasses (1993). The glass is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or fading of design - great condition for a glass that is over 60 years old.

At the bottom of the glass there is an inscription in brown inside a green stretched-hide design that says, "Davy Crockett Indian Fighter-Hero of the Alamo 1786 - 1836." It is numbered D1075 in Tomart's Price Guide to Character and Promotional Glasses (1993). The glass is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks and a nice fresh, unfaded image.
