The mark on the saucer, which is 5-3/4" in diameter, says, "Franciscan Earthenware" in an oval under which it says, "11-64 Oven Safe/Color Firm." The cup is 2-5/8" high and is marked "Made in U.S. A. 10" on the bottom. The set is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or scratching. These salt and pepper shakers are in the shape of rose buds and each stands about 2-1/2" high. They are in the Desert Rose pattern made by Gladding-McBean of California starting in the 1940's. Both are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or scratching. They have no marking on the bottom which indicates that these are the older California-made pieces rather than the new English ones.
