S&I. This cookie jar was called a macaroon by Fenton and came in various colors. Fenton produced this jar in the 1930s. It is in a lovely ruby red and features the macaroons at the bottom and a floral eight-pointed etching on both sides above the cookies. It stands about 7-1/4" high and has a rim diameter of 5-1/4". It is a lovely piece of ruby Fenton with great color. However, there are several flaws. There are several small chips on the inside rim of the top that can't be seen unless the lid is removed and held upside down. One very small chip on the outside of the lid that is not easily seen - more a flack than a chip. There is also another chip about 1/4" wide that is on the inside rim (foot) of the base. Again, it is not evident unless the piece is turned upside down. I have reduced the price of this piece considerably to reflect these flaws.
