This planter figurine set is of a lovely Oriental couple all decked out in blue tunics with pink floral highlights. The man is holding a vase in one hand while the woman has frit flowers in her hair and on the front of the tunic. The man is about 8-1/2" high while the lady stands around 8 inches tall. There is no mark on the bottom but both have the Florence silver label. The man is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing. The lady is also in excellent condition with the exception of a tiny round scrape on the bottom of her garment. I have reduced the price to reflect this very minor flaw.

The man also probably has this mark but the bottom is covered with furniture-protecting material and I do not wish to remove it. Both are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and the frit is still in very nice condition as are the gold highlights.

Royal Copenhagen Figurine - The Emperor's New Clothes
This figurine was issued by Royal Copenhagen in 1981 and is called The Emperor's New Clothes. It stands 8" high and measures 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 inches on the base. It has the Royal Copenhagen mark on the bottom along with the number 1288. A vertical mark through the mark indicates that this was a factory second. However, I cannot find any flaw in the item. Royal Copenhagen also use the "Seconds" mark to clear out excess inventory and I suspect that this was the case in this instance. Regardless, I am reducing the price to reflect this status. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or stains.

The Stangl Pottery Company of Flemington, New Jersey made this line of ceramic birds starting in the early 1940s and this bird was made from 1941 until 1978. It stands about 2-3/4" high and has the Stangl mark on the bottom. It also has the decorator's initials "EGF" on it. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or repairs.

This Stangl bird is number #3589 of the Stangl line of bird figurines. The Stangl Pottery Company of Flemington, New Jersey made this line of ceramic birds starting in the early 1940s and this bird was made from 1941 until 1978. It stands about 3-1/2" high and has the Stangl mark on the bottom. It also has the decorator's initials "MW" on it, indicating that it was decorated by Margaret Walsch. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a small flake off the surface near the bottom edge. I have reduced the price to reflect this small flaw.

This Stangl bird is number #3456 of this Stangl line of bird figurines. The Stangl Pottery Company of Flemington, New Jersey made this line of ceramic birds starting in the early 1940s. They produced the majority of these up until the late 1940s when inexpensive, imported figurines saturated the market. After that time, they only made these birds on a very limited basis. I believe that this particular bird was made during the prolific period. It stands about 4-1/4" high and has the Stangl mark and logo. It is in excellent condition with the exception of a small chip on the base that can only be seen when the figurine is held upside-down. It can be seen in the scan of the bottom of the item. I have reduced the price to reflect this minor flaw.
