Hutschenreuther Dog Figurine - Airedale Terrier
Hutschenreuther Dog Figurine - Airedale Terrier
This dog figurine which I think is either a Lakeland Terrier or an Airedale Terrier was issued by Hutschenreuther. It is signed by Grange and has the Hutschenreuther mark which dates it to the 1950s to 1960s. It stands 6" high and measures about 5" wide from the front feet to the back feet. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or stains.

Royal Copenhagen Figurine - The Emperor's New Clothes
Royal Copenhagen Figurine - The Emperor's New Clothes
This figurine was issued by Royal Copenhagen in 1981 and is called The Emperor's New Clothes. It stands 8" high and measures 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 inches on the base. It has the Royal Copenhagen mark on the bottom along with the number 1288. A vertical mark through the mark indicates that this was a factory second. However, I cannot find any flaw in the item. Royal Copenhagen also use the "Seconds" mark to clear out excess inventory and I suspect that this was the case in this instance. Regardless, I am reducing the price to reflect this status. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, crazing or stains.

Nodder - Little Boy in White Suite (German)
This bisque nodder is one of the nodders made by a German company during the 1930's. These nodders represented the popular comic strip and cartoon/comic characters of that time. This nodder is of an unidentified little boy in a white suit, vest and jaunty hat. It is marked Germany on the back. It is a 3-1/4" high. The facial features on this gem are just wonderful. He is in excellent shape and the paint is still in pretty good shape.
