Rooster & Roses Candlestick w Fingerhold. This candlestick or chamberstick has a saucer base and a ring handle. The base is 5-1/2" in diameter and about 2" high. It is a lovely example of the type of Japanese-made kitchenware from the 40s and 50s that is becoming so collectible today. This pattern is Rooster and Roses. This item is marked with the the "Early Provincial Underglaze Hand Painted Japan" logo.

It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or stains. It does have some faint crazing that is noticeable when held to a bright light. There is also more noticeable crazing on the bottom which cannot be seen unless the item is held upside down. I have reduced the price to reflect this crazing.
