This Stangl bird is number #3276S of this Stangl line of bird figurines. The Stangl Pottery Company of Flemington, New Jersey made this line of ceramic birds starting in the early 1940s. They produced the majority of these up until the late 1940s when inexpensive, imported figurines saturated the market. After that time, they only made these birds on a very limited basis.

I am not sure which part of these production years this was made. It stands about 5" high and has the Stangl mark and logo. It is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or stains.
